Married to a foreigner
Lady D is very straightforward and direct, sometimes almost blunt, even by Swedish standards, and she colors her hair in all sorts of mysterious colors and cuts it in the strangest ways - really, really cool, I think. After living several years in Sweden and the US, she also has a Western outlook on many things. She can get really annoyed at the way people do things here. All this makes her somewhat of an aberration in Taiwan. A lot of people don't really know how to deal with her or talk to her. But when they do talk to her, and find out that her husband is a foreigner, they all shine up and relax and become more natural.
It's all ok, then, that explains everything. She's married to a foreigner, after all.
